Levan Ioseliani, Parliament Vice-Speaker from Citizens party, thinks the opposition should explain why it calls faulty the document prepared by EU mediator Christian Danielsson.
Ioseliani believes that it is a solid document covering the country’s institutional reforms.
“The document does not mention early elections. I disagree that it is a sign of a flaw. On the contrary, it is a document that stands firmly on two feet and talks about institutional reforms. The political parties and politicians lack the responsibility to put the interests of the state before their political concerns,” Levan Ioseliani said.
The second EU-mediated attempt to solve political crises in Georgia failed earlier this week. EU mediator Christian Danielsson said he proposed a solution that puts the country’s interest first to the parties, but none of the political actors agreed on the solution.
