CEC: Claims that voter turnout exceeded registration number false

The Central Election Commission (CEC) warned Monday that misleading claims about voter numbers have become part of a coordinated campaign.

CEC spokesperson Natia Ioseliani addressed allegations that voter turnout exceeded the total number of registered voters.

“Some groups are deliberately manipulating data by comparing National Statistics Service figures with election turnout numbers,” Ioseliani stated. “We categorically deny these false claims. The numbers being circulated by certain interested parties do not match the official unified voter list.”

Ioseliani emphasized that these allegations appear to be intentionally misleading. “The election process was conducted with unprecedented transparency. It seems that certain parties are now attempting to discredit this process by spreading misinformation,” she said.
