Busa Zhvania imposed preliminary imprisonment into wounding case of Levan Topadze

A sitting into wounding case of Levan Topadze, grand-son of businessman Gogi Topadze, was held at Tbilisi City Court. The court imposed preliminary imprisonment to charged Busa Zhvania, son of the late prime minister of Georgia Zurab Zhvania.

Uncle of the charged person Gogla Zhvania and mother Nino Zhvania attended the court hearing.

Nino Zhvania apologized to Topadzes family for the inflicted pain and claimed that she was glad that Levan Topadze survived and his health condition was not life-threatening. “I hope that investigation will proceed objectively. Busa Zhvania deserves punishment,” she said.

Nino Zhvania explained that she had made a phone call to Topadzes family for apology rather than for leading negotiations.

Levan Topadze was wounded in Tbilisi on August 2. Busa Zhvania, who was detained on wounding fact, also received injuries. Zhvania is charged for premeditated murder that envisages from 7 to 15 years in prison.
