Bulgarian Ambassador emphasizes importance of free and fair elections in Georgia

Vesselin Valkanov, the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Georgia, emphasized the vital role of the Parliament in bringing about changes in the country and managing elections effectively. He made these remarks following the annual report by the Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili.

The ambassador expressed interest in observing how the Parliament fulfils its significant role during this election year. He highlighted the importance of free and fair elections noting that “creating the best conditions for the development of democratic processes is a crucial part of the path towards the European Union”.
