Bulgarian Ambassador believes Georgia can progress toward EU membership
“The European Commission’s recommendations are no rocket science, these are known things which need to be done,” said Vesselin Valkanov, Bulgarian Ambassador to Georgia.
The Ambassador said he does not like giving advice but urged Georgian politicians to sit down and work on what is necessary to be done because “there are many considerations when a decision is made, but merit is also important.”
The Ambassador believes Georgia can progress on EU membership.
“You have to complete a certain amount of work in order to proceed. I think Georgia can deliver. It was quick to come up with an action plan. Let’s see what the reactions will be to that, and I hope we will see further progress of Georgia toward membership,” he said.
