British Ambassador believes Saakashvili's issue damages Georgia's reputation
The United Kingdom has been very clear about Mikheil Saakashvili [Georgia’s ex-President]. We are monitoring the reports on his health very closely, stated British Ambassador to Georgia Mark Clayton on Monday.
According to him, the situation around Saakashvili damages the reputation of Georgia internationally.
“We have constantly reminded the Government of Georgia of its responsibility to safeguard his health and security. The situation around Mikheil Saakashvili is damaging Georgia’s reputation internationally. We encourage everyone to find a solution to this situation,” the Ambassador stated.
