British Airways enters Georgian aviation market

Starting on March 30, 2025, British Airways will begin direct regular flights between London and Tbilisi, marking the airline’s entry into the Georgian aviation market.

This development comes after successful year-long negotiations between the United Airports of Georgia and British Airways, one of Europe’s largest carriers.

Flights will be operated four times a week, and tickets are already available for purchase on the airline’s website. British Airways, a well-established brand with over a century of history, is a founding member of the global airline alliance OneWorld, the world’s third-largest airline alliance. The airline’s main hub is at London Heathrow Airport, one of Europe’s busiest airports.

Furthermore, British Airways passengers can take advantage of the airline’s partnership with American Airlines, which enables transit flights through London to a wide range of destinations across the United States.

The airline operates flights to over 190 destinations in 65 countries globally.
