A bipartisan act in support of Georgia adopted by the U.S. Congress Foreign Affairs Committee is a testament to firm bilateral Georgia-U.S. bonds, said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
“Amid existential security threats in the region, a bipartisan Georgia Support Act adopted by the U.S. Congress Foreign Affairs Committee is a testament to firm bilateral Georgia-U.S. bonds. As we mark 30th anniversary of our ties, we highly value the continued support,” Parliament Speaker tweeted.
The U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee has approved an act in support of Georgia. The bill received bipartisan support on Wednesday. In passing the legislation through the House, American lawmakers stressed that standing with the country and further deepening relations between Georgia and the US was “vital.”
