Bidzina Ivanishvili: GD paved way for country built on democracy, rule of law, human decency

Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chair of the Georgian Dream (GD) party, addressed the pre-election meeting attendees in Samtskhe-Javakheti, saying, “Your high political responsibility for your own country has been proven many times over the years, and this has been proven in 2012, not only for Samtskhe-Javakheti but for the whole of Georgia, when you dare and confront the United National Movement regime.”

As Bidzina Ivanishvili noted, “The United National Movement confronted residents against one another based on their ethnicity or religion.

“All of this served one purpose: to prevent a large portion of Samtskhe-Javakheti’s population from fully integrating into society and participating in the country’s political life.”

Despite this, you demonstrated incredible courage by trusting us and supporting the Georgian Dream at the risk of your own life or the safety of your family members. Today, you have been yielding the results of your courage” he stated.

Ivanishvili stressed that the Georgian Dream has paved the way for a country built on democracy, the rule of law, and human decency.
