“I believe in Georgia, European perspective and we will return our Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers. This is why I came back into politics,” Bidzina Ivanishvili, Founder and Chairman of Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia Party said about his political comeback during the 5th Congress of Party held at Underwheel Club at Mtatsminda Park in Tbilisi.

Also according to Ivanishvili, Georgia managed to deescalate relations with Russia and transformation onto dialog regime would become possible with help of international partners. He also noted that Georgia’s progress on foreign area was evident and Georgia had never been so close to Europe and NATO as at present.

Bidzina Ivanishvili was elected as Chairman of Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia Party today. Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili was the Chairman of Georgian Dream Party previously. Congress delegates unanimously supported Ivanishvili’s candidacy.
