Besik Takidze was sentenced to pre-trial detention

Batumi City Court sentenced Besik Takidze, who is accused of murdering a police chief of village Mukhaestatte, pre-trial detention.
Besik Takidze pleads guilty however claims that he did not intend to kill the policeman, but only wanted to scare him with a knife.
According to the prosecutor, Besik Takidze, who was drunk, was hindering law enforcers and Buta Antadze called on him to leave the territory. Besik Takidze did not obey the police request and inflicted a deadly wound to Antadze. The murder case occurred on June 15.
