Belarusian police detain two Georgian “thieves-in-law”

The Belarusian police detained two Georgian so-called thieves-in-law at Minsk airport, — Press Service of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to them, the officers of the Main Division of Corruption and Organized Crime detained two citizens of Georgia – Gela Kardava and Suliko Sharikadze at Minsk National Airport on January 17 and 18.

“Gela Kardava showed a passport of Russian citizen to the border guards. During questioning, he confirmed his criminal status and explained that he was going from Russia to Istanbul via Belarus. In Istanbul, he was to take part in the meeting of thieves-in-law.

As for Suliko Sharikadze, he was on the territory of Belarus without registration and immigration card, which is violation of the country’s immigration legislation. He arrived in Belarus from Russia by car,” the Belarusian Interior Ministry says in the statement.
