Celebration of Christmas at Baptist Church in Georgia began at noon in Tbilisi. Pastor Levan Akhalmosulishvili, the eldest member of the independent Association of Christian-Baptist Churches, read out the Gospel of Matthew.
The church service was held in compliance with the pandemic-related recommendations and was live on-air for those who could not attend the service.
Levan Akhalmosulishvili wished Merry Christmas to attendees. “The birth of Christ brought peace to the world and virtue among men that have to rejoice,” he said.
The Christ Baptist Church in Tbilisi was opened in 2017 on the 150th anniversary of the Baptist Church establishment in Georgia. The Association of Christian-Baptist Churches unites about 40 churches and 800 members.
