President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated Georgians on Independence Day.
In a letter sent to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on the occasion of Independence Day, Aliyev said Azerbaijan-Georgia ties were rooted in centuries of “cordial neighbourliness and understanding between the friendly peoples.”
“It is delightful that our interstate ties have taken on a new dimension, and our collaboration, founded on mutual trust and support, is flourishing and adding new content.
I am certain that for the welfare of our people, and the peace and security of our region, we will continue to make our efforts to enhance Georgian-Azerbaijani cooperation in all fields,” reads the letter.
