Azerbaijani FM says Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkiye change regional map
“Through oil and gas pipelines, Azerbaijan and Georgia, together with Turkiye, have changed the regional map,” said Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
According to the Azerbaijani FM, maintaining good relations with neighbouring countries is the “best way” to promote security and prosperity.
He said economic integration through energy projects is “what makes neighbor countries mutually dependent on each other, in a good sense.”
“This is what Azerbaijan successfully implemented in all neighboring countries. We speak about the East-West Middle Corridor, that Azerbaijan and Georgia implemented together with Turkiye. This is something through which we changed the entire map of the region, oil and gas pipelines and East-West Middle Corridor is the latest example. This is what was positive for our people and the welfare of societies,” he concluded.
