Austrian Ambassador on Saakashvili's statement: If you had been silent, you would have remained a philosopher. Georgian gov't is not pro-Russian
Austrian Ambassador to Georgia, Arad Benkö, said: “Georgian government is not pro-Russian. It does a good job of maintaining the balance of power.”
Austrian Ambassador has echoed Mikheil Saakashvili’s statement saying that ” it is in the interests of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people to remove the pro-Russian government of Georgia.”
“There is a very good Latin quote – ‘if you had been silent, you would have remained a philosopher.’ The Georgian government, of course, is not a pro-Russian. I think the Georgian government is doing a good job of maintaining a balance that, on the one hand, is linked to the desire to join the EU and NATO, and on the other hand, to a real policy driven by the coronavirus and the occupied territories,” said Arad Benkö.
