Athens boosts military presence to the country’s border with Turkey
Athens has boosted military presence to the country’s border with Turkey after refugees have begun travelling from Turkey to Greece.
As Greek media reports, the bulk of people were piled up on the land border at Kastanies, north-east Greece.
Refugees are from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and Morocco. Many of them are children and women.
According to Turkish media, the move comes after the Turkish government announced it no longer impede its passage to Europe. Later, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Ankara’s migration policy remains unchanged.
