Any move aims to strengthen security, Parliament Speaker says

“We live under constant threat with 20% of our country occupied, and the occupation forces deployed there,” said Shalva Papuashvili, Georgian Parliament Speaker.

Papuashvili echoed the information released by the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) that unlawful and destructive activities of borderization are observed in the vicinity of Mejvriskhevi village near the occupied Tskhinvali region.

Parliament Speaker said that any step that the Georgian government takes aims to strengthen the country’s security to avoid additional threats. He added that security challenges served as the main topic of his meetings in Brussels.

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met Deputy NATO Secretary-General and addressed the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting in Brussels, Belgium.
