Anti-transparency bill protest continues at parliament

A protest rally against the bill On Transparency of Foreign Influence continues on Rustaveli Avenue at the Georgian parliament.

The participants claim that, if passed, the law will obstruct Georgia’s EU integration process and keep rallying at all entrances of the parliament hitting their hands on the iron fences. Some protesters arrived at the rally with pots and pans to make noise in protest.

Law enforcers are mobilized at the scene.

Georgian Parliament adopted the draft bill On Transparency of Foreign Influence with the third reading at the plenary on Tuesday. One hundred and sixteen MPs underwent registration, 84 lawmakers voted for and 30 – against.
