The annual inflation rate made 13.33 per cent in May, said the National Statistics National Service (GeoStat).
The cost of vegetables, fruits, bread, coffee, tea, cocoa, fish, fruits, oil, natural juices and other food products increased, tobacco costs went up by 6.7%, grocery products and non-alcoholic beverages – by 0.8%. The price of milk, cheese and eggs decreased.
Prices in the transport sub-group went up by 20%, utility fees by 6.2%.
