The questioning of Angi Khutsishvili, Deputy Head of Presidential Administration has been ended at the General Prosecutor’s Office.
Angi Khutsishvili has made no comment for media after the questioning.
Angi Khutsishvili was questioned at General Prosecutor’s Office regarding the case of the pardoning of prisoners.
The General Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into the pardoning of convicts by President Salome Zurabishvili on September 20.
According to the agency, the investigation was launched into alleged abuse of power in the pardoning procedure. “The Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia has launched an investigation into the alleged abuse of power in the process of pardoning of convicts – Ramaz Devadze, Aslan Bezhanidze, Zurab Nadiradze and others,” the agency said in a statement.
President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili pardoned 34 prisoners in connection with Virgin Mary Day on August 28 including three convicts charged for the murder and one person wanted by law enforcers.
