Amiran Gamkrelidze – There is still much traffic in Tbilisi, we are playing with fire
There is still much traffic in Tbilisi, people are still gathering; it is unacceptable; we are playing with fire — Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health said.
According to Gamkrelidze, next 2-3 weeks will be difficult and there is no ground for being calm. “When the infected cases exceed 300, rapid increase is expected,” he said.
Gamkrelidze said that if people did not observe the social distancing guidelines or regulations as state of emergency required, several thousand of cases were possible to be reported in Georgia at the end of April or May.
