American Hospital Tbilisi offers medical assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Georgia
American Hospital Tbilisi will provide medical assistance to Ukrainian refugees in Georgia. The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) supports the very program.
There are currently 28,000 Ukrainian refugees in Georgia. The program also offers war-affected Ukrainians, unable to receive health care in their home country, to arrive in Georgia for medical service.
Under the program, worth $ 800,000, American Hospital Tbilisi will offer them surgical procedures, pediatric-adult inpatient care, and diagnostic services.
“Until now, the Georgian government has provided emergency assistance as well as basic services to Ukrainians. In this case, the American Hospital will join this initiative with renewed resources and opportunities, ” Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia said.
