Ambassador Dunnigan pledge US support for strengthening defense ties with Georgia

US Ambassador to Georgia Robin Dunnigan met with the Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze on Monday.

“I just had an excellent meeting with Minister Burchuladze. In the meeting, I reiterated the United States’ absolute commitment to our very strong military cooperation. And he and I discussed ways we can even further strengthen our strategic partnership when it comes to defence and security cooperation.

I also reiterated the United States’ absolute support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We have long been the strongest supporter of Georgia when it comes to sovereignty and territorial integrity, and I gave the minister my commitment that I will continue to work on this with the Georgian government and with our international partners.

So, once again, we have a strong strategic partnership with Georgia in the defence and security area, and we will continue to even further deepen that,” Ambassador Dunnigan said.
