The Nobel Committee of Sweden nominated Georgian writer Aka Morchiladze for the Nobel Prize in literature, the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature reported.
“Through a majority vote among professors from the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Georgian writer Aka Morchiladze (Giorgi Akhvlediani) is nominated for the Nobel Prize in the Swedish Nobel Committee. We congratulate the writer and wish him success,” the statement reads.
