Advisor to PM – We will protest both legitimate interests – state sovereignty and economic welfare of citizens
We will be principal and will maximally protect both legitimate interests – the country’s state sovereignty and economic welfare of citizens – Irakli Chikovani, Advisor to Georgian Prime Minister in Strategic Communications Issues thus commented on the decision of Russian President to suspend flights in direction of Georgia.
Chikovani said that radical political agenda, both between different countries as well as on domestic level, is destructive. “We will not become a hostage of the emotional circumstances,” Chikovani stated.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has banned Russia’s airlines from flying to Georgia, a day after a Russian lawmaker Sergey Gavrilov’s visit to the country prompted violent clashes between protesters and police in Tbilisi on June 20.
