Merab Kuridze, number 22 on the electoral list for Adjara Supreme Council from the Strong Georgia coalition, has quit the alliance.
Merab Kuridze wrote on the social network that Strong Georgia “cannot hide its true intentions” with the elections drawing closer.
“For me, it is obvious that this political union is not independent but obedient to forces acting against our country’s interests,” he explained his decision.
“It is fundamentally important that before the decisive elections for our country and the turning point for Georgia, I openly declare about the Stong Georgia goals, that returning to retribution and the country’s past is unacceptable!
We should stand on the right side and I am ready to give a comprehensive response to any question. I will continue to fight for a better future for Adjara and Georgia independently,” he said.
