80% of grape harvest already processed, Agriculture Minister says

About 80% of the grape harvest in the Kakheti region has already been processed, the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

The Minister said the revenues generated by local farmers make GEL 230 million.

“Up to 222 thousand tons of grapes have already been processed, and the harvesting process is running in an orderly and uninterrupted way,” the Minister noted.

The Georgian Government implements a subsidy program to support the 2022 grape harvest.
