IDPs from the Tskhinvali region (10th-11th graders) are first participating in the Army Camp, coordinated by the Georgian Defense Ministry, and the Education Ministry.

According to the South Ossetian administration, from June 23 to June 28, 50 pupils in Akhalkalaki will join a fun and diverse cognitive program aimed at instilling a patriotic spirit in young people, fostering a healthy lifestyle, and building state thinking.

According to the organizers, such an initiative will contribute to advancing awareness of civic security, Georgia’s defence system, and defence forces.

The camp has three locations: Giorgi Antsukhelidze Sergeants Academy in Kojori, Sachkhere, and Akhalkalaki.

This year, the Army Camp will welcome 2,160 pupils in eight groups.
