Georgian national football team earns 12.25 million euros

Following their historic victory over Portugal, the Georgian national football team, which advanced to the round of 16 at the European Championship, will receive an additional bonus from UEFA. Currently, the team has earned a total of 12.25 million euros, broken down as follows:

  • 9.25 million euros for participation in the championship
  • 500,000 euros for the draw against the Czech Republic
  • 1 million euros for the win against Portugal
  • 1.5 million euros for reaching the round of 16

The team has the potential to earn even more, with a bonus of 2.5 million euros awarded for reaching the quarter-finals.

The UEFA Executive Committee has approved a prize fund of 331 million euros for the European Championship, distributed as follows:

9.25 million euros for participation
1 million euros for each victory
500,000 euros for each draw
1.5 million euros for advancing to the round of 16
2.5 million euros for reaching the quarter-finals
4 million euros for reaching the semi-finals
5 million euros for finishing in second place
8 million euros for winning the championship

The maximum amount that the European champion can receive is 28.25 million euros.
