MIA warns protesters to refrain from violent actions

The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on the participants of the rally in the vicinity of the Parliament to follow the instructions of the law enforcement officers, refrain from violent actions.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs reiterates its calls directed to participants of manifestation in vicinity of the Georgian Parliament to follow the instructions of the law enforcement officers, refrain from violent actions as well as attacks on police officers.

One employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has already been injured during the manifestation.

In case if rally participants continue their illegal actions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will administer special measures defined by law.

The Agency would like to note once again that each illegal action will be followed by appropriate legal response from the police,” the MIA stated.
