Russia's strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine outrage Georgian Parliament Speaker
“Appalled by Russian indiscriminate strikes on civilian sites and innocent people in Kyiv and across Ukraine. This insanity must stop,” Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili echoed Monday shelling of Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
In his tweet, the Speaker continued, “Glad that Georgia’s diplomats in the cities of Ukraine are safe. My thoughts are with those who were injured from the shellings”.
The Ukrainian capital Kyiv and other cities across the country, including Lviv, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia, have been targeted by missile strikes on Monday morning, killing civilians and destroying critical infrastructure.
Ukraine’s commander-in-chief Valery Zaluzhny says Russia has fired 75 missiles at targets in Ukraine so far and that the attack is ongoing. The attacks come two days after the only bridge linking Russia with occupied Crimea was damaged in a blast.
