12th battalion of First Infantry Brigade returns from Afghanistan

The 12th battalion of First Infantry Brigade of Georgian Armed Forces has returned from Afghanistan.

The battalion commanded by Vice-Colonel Giorgi Jincharadze served its peacekeeping mission within the framework of NATO-led Resolute Support Program at Bagram Air Base.

In line with recommendations of the World Health Organization and Georgian epidemiologists, the Georgian soldiers will undergo through a 14-day quarantine.

The 13th Battalion has replaced the 12th battalion in Resolute Support peacekeeping mission based on a rotation principle.
