The quarantine and isolation period was set at 12 days instead of 14 in Georgia, – this is stated in Resolution #495 of the Government of Georgia.
According to the decree, all Individuals who came from a foreign country and/or was into contact with the COVID-infected person, as well as persons who came from the occupied territories of Georgia, are subject to 12 days quarantine.
A person is placed in isolation for 12 days. In case of transfer from quarantine to self-isolation or from self-isolation to quarantine, the number of days spent in self-isolation/quarantine will be deducted from self-isolation/quarantine days;
Members of Georgian governmental and presidential delegations, as well as members of foreign/international delegations visiting Georgia, are not subject to isolation/quarantine, although they will have to follow certain rules.
In particular, members of official delegations arriving in Georgia on an official visit must present a document confirming that the PCR test is conducted within the last 72 hours prior to the official visit.
The members of the governmental and presidential delegations of Georgia are obliged to conduct a PCR tests every 72 hours for 12 days after returning from an official visit to Georgia, the costs of which will be reimbursed from the budget of the relevant public institution.
Foreign visitors entering Georgia for business activities will be required to undergo PCR testing at their own expense upon entering Georgia, at a customs checkpoint/border crossing point or the nearest customs control zone, and do the same in every 72 hours for the next 12 days. If a person is found to have an immunoglobulin “G” on the first PCR test, he/she is exempt from further testings.
