11 Georgian films archived in Russia returned home

The process of transferring the Georgian film heritage stored in Gosfilmofond, Russian State Archive of Film, continues.

11 Georgian films were sent back to Georgia with the support of Georgia’s Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection,  National Film Center, “TBC Bank”, “GMT Group” and Company “IDS Borjomi Georgia”.

These are the copies of films shot between 1925 and 1975:

  • Wedding (Qortsili) – director Mikheil Kobakhidze;
  • Umbrella (Qolga) – director Mikheil Kobakhidze;
  • Musicians (Musikosebi) – director Mikheil Kobakhidze;
  • Peola – director Baadur Tsuladze;
  • Eccentrics ( Sherekilebi) – director Eldar Shengelaia;
  • Winged Painter (Prtosani Mgebavi) – director Leo Esakia;
  • Kajeti – director Kote Mikaberidze;
  • Who is guilty (Vin aris Damnashave)- director AleksandreTsutsunava;
  • “AMOC” – director Kote Marjanishvili;
  • Samanishvili’s Stepmother (Samanishvilis dedinatsvali) – director Kote Marjanishvili;
  • Eliso – director Nikoloz Shengelaia.

At the first stage of the process, the four Georgian Films were sent to home on November 17, 2016.
