Maghlaperidze is the co-author of optional school textbooks. He is the author of more than 20 scientific works, published more than 100 publicist articles in various mass media outlets. Maghlaperidze holds the title of Goodwill Ambassador of Israel.
In 1993, Maghlaperidze participated in military hostilities ongoing in breakaway Abkhazia to defend Georgia’s Territorial integrity.
In 1997, together with journalist Luba Eliashvili, Maghlaperidze prepared TV stories from Abkhazia and Chechnya, prepared interviews – in Sokhumi with Vladislav Ardzinba (first de facto President of Abkhazia), in Grozny – Iandarbiev, Nukhaev and other Chechen leaders. All the material was aired by Public Broadcaster.
