Youth Week opened at Orbeliani Square on the occasion of Georgia’s Chairmanship of CoE

Youth Week has been opened with a concert at the renovated Orbeliani Square in Tbilisi on the occasion of Georgia’s Chairmanship of the Council of Europe (CoE).

At the initiative of youth organizations of Georgian Dream Party, different activities will be held in the regions of Georgia. Information campaigns, action-performances, street art festivals and other events are planned within the framework of the week. Youth Week will be solemnly closed on December 7 in Tbilisi.

Georgia will be Chairman of Committee of Ministers at the Council of Europe during the period from November 27, 2019, to May 15, 2020. The chairmanship was handed over to Georgia from France on November 27, 2019.

The Georgian state flag was put up and is waving at the Republican Square in Strasbourg. The Georgian national anthem was performed and the lace was cut. In connection with Georgia’s Chairmanship of Committee of Ministers at the CoE, trams decorated with the posters of Georgian alphabet will be running for 6 months in Strasbourg.
