WB Regional Director: Sustainability of system to be assessed before vaccination

The World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Sebastian Molineus, said the meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia on Tuesday focused on the novel coronavirus and WB’s support to Georgia in the vaccination process.

According to Sebastian Molineus, talks addressed the contribution to support government efforts in the vaccination process.

He said that the WB closely cooperated with the United Nations and international financial institutions to evaluate the system’s sustainability before the vaccination begins.

The WB Regional Director welcomed the Georgian government’s new plan to become integrated into the European Union.

Sebastian Molineus pledged assistance to Georgia in raising competitiveness and the creation of a digital and green economy.
