Russian President Vladimir Putin says that the construction of a road to Georgia through Chechnya is not included in the Russian Transport Ministry’s projects.

Putin was asked about the construction of the road at today’s press conference.

“There are talks about the construction of the road to Georgia through Chechnya. This would solve strategic issues. What do you think about this and how beneficial do you think it is for Russia and Georgia? ”The journalist addressed Putin.

As the President of Russia noted, road construction is a good idea and this can be implemented.

“There is a problem in communicating with Georgia definitely, especially in winter when everything is covered with snow. This is a good idea, but it is not included in the practical projects of the Ministry of Transport. However, this initiative is well-known and feasible,” – Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
