Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation. Putin announced that in order to reduce the spread of the coronavirus in the country, Russian citizens should stay off work until April 30. During this period they will receive remuneration.
According to the decision, only grocery stores, pharmacies and other vitally important industries will remain open.
Putin noted that COVID-19 outbreak hasn’t yet peaked in Russia.
Russia had confirmed 3548 cases of the novel virus, of these 2475 recorded in Moscow, 30 died from the virus.
