German Chancellor Angela Merkel will presumably visit Georgia on August 23-24. According to Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the final date will be finalized by the German Embassy.
Davit Zalkaliani, Georgian Foreign Minister says that Merkel will visit South Caucasus region and the visit is very important for Georgia.
“We have recently had talks with German partners. One of my first official visits was in Germany. Germany supports Georgia’s integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures, and the visit is very important taking into consideration the challenges facing our country,” Zalkaliani stated.
