Vehicles to be banned to enter Baku to prevent the spread of coronavirus

Vehicles will be banned to enter Baku in connection with preventive measures on the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Local media reports quoting the statement of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.

The ban will take effect on March 19 and will last until March 29.

According to information, vehicles and their passengers registered in the country’s cities and districts, excluding special purpose vehicles, ambulances, emergency recovery, rescue services, as well as freight transport, are prohibited to enter to Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron region.

According to official data, 28 people are infected with the new coronavirus in Azerbaijan.
