Vakhtang Chidrashvili, competing in the 57-kg weight category won the title of World Champion for the 6th time at the World Sambo Championships in South Korea. The Georgian sportsman defeated his rival from Russia Sayan Khertek in the final round.

The World Sambo Championships is ongoing in Cheongju, South Korea. The World Sambo Championships are the main championships in Sambo and Combat Sambo, organized by the Sambo International Federation.
