US National Security Strategy touches upon Georgia among other issues

The US National Security Strategy, published by the White House yesterday, concerns the issue of Georgia too.

The National Security Strategy states that Russia violated the sovereignty of Georgia and Ukraine by invading these countries.

“By invading Georgia and Ukraine, Russia showed that it is ready to violate the sovereignty of the countries of the region. Russia continues to intimidate its neighbors by threatening to strengthen its nuclear potential and deploy offensive weapons,” says the document.

It is noteworthy that Russia and China are mentioned as the main rivals of the US in the National Security Strategy.
