NDI’s recent findings noted wide support for Georgia’s electoral reforms as contributing to a more diverse and politically balanced legislature, but also reported shortfalls identified by civil society, – the Embassy of the United States of America in Georgia has released this statement.

“NDI’s recent findings noted wide support for Georgia’s electoral reforms as contributing to a more diverse and politically balanced legislature, but also reported shortfalls identified by civil society regarding abuse of administrative resources, voter intimidation, and politicized justice.

Senior NDI leaders and election analysts discussed the latest report on Georgia’s electoral framework with Ambassador Degnan and other diplomats today. NDI’s deep expertise, supported by USAID, is a vital part of the U.S. Embassy’s broader effort to help Georgians have the free, fair, and transparent elections they deserve”,  -the statement reads.
