Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a part of his visit to Georgia to attend Georgia’s European Way, an international conference in Batumi.
The parties discussed the extraordinary friendship and strategic partnership between Georgia and Ukraine during their face-to-face meeting. Irakli Garibashvili and Volodymyr Zelensky also considered regional security and the situation on the Black Sea.
Georgian Prime Minister reassured his Ukrainian counterpart of his firm support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and thanked him for Ukraine’s strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Irakli Garibashvili and Volodymyr Zelensky also addressed the threats coming from the Russian side and their shared challenge of dire consequences of the occupation. Both emphasized the importance of peaceful conflict resolution.
