Relatives are failing to establish contact with two Georgian citizens residing in forest fire zone in Greece.

According to the Georgian Embassy in Greece, the consulate department continues search of the two Georgian citizens together with Greek Ministry of Internal Affairs. There are no Georgian citizens among those hospitalized for the time being.

According to Foreign Ministry, three Georgian citizens contacted the Embassy last night. One person was brought to a safer place from the raging fire zone.

The worst forest fires to hit Greece in a decade have claimed the lives of at least 50 people near Athens as they attempted to flee the flames in cars or on foot.
