Twitter to ban all political advertising

Twitter will ban political advertising on its platform next month, company CEO Jack Dorsey made this statement on Wednesday.

“We’ve made the decision to stop all political advertising on Twitter globally. We believe political message reach should be earned, not bought. While internet advertising is incredibly powerful and very effective for commercial advertisers, that power brings significant risks to politics” – reads the statement of Jack Dorsey.

At the same time, Jack Dorsey points out that the company is not going to restrict freedom of expression. According to Dorsey, the ban on political advertising on Twitter will go into effect starting November 22.
