The Ukrainian government has backed an agreement project on traveling with Georgia with ID Cards – Ukrainian media reports.

The sides are going to sign a relevant agreement during the visit of delegations of the two countries in New York at the UN General Assembly session.

Earlier, Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia Ihor Dolhov told journalists in Kiev that the Ukrainian side had already approved and handed the documents on mutual trips of citizens with biometric internal passports (ID cards) to Georgian colleagues.

At present, the agreement of 1999 about the visa-free movement is acting between Georgia and Ukraine.
