Tornike Molashvili: Release of butcher not to be democracy

“The release of a butcher from jail is not democracy. I call on the government not to admit Mikheil Saakashvili’s (ex-president) pre-term release, otherwise, the entire Georgia will engage in protests,” said Tornike Molashvili, brother of Sulkhan Molashvili, the deceased former head of Georgia’s State Audit Office tortured while in custody, during the rally at the N12 Rustavi Prison.

According to Tornike Molashvili, Mikheil Saakashvili will never be a political prisoner. “This man has no truth, identity and moral. He would not even blink an eye to terminate lives of tens of hundreds of people,” Molashvili said. He added that ex-president arrived in Georgia to organize destabilization and bloodshed.

Victims of the United National Movement (UNM) rule, their family members and former political prisoners rallied outside the N12 Rustavi Prison where ex-president and former UNM leader Mikheil Saakashvili is jailed.
